Staff and pupils at a Lowestoft-area primary school have expressed pride after being honoured with a special recognition once more.
Corton CE Primary School and Nursery said they were "absolutely delighted" to have been awarded the Religious Education Quality Mark (REQM).
The school on The Street, Corton, near Lowestoft, is celebrating after achieving 'Gold' once again in their REQM assessment, with their "excellent practice in RE" recognised once more.
A school spokesman said: "It is the second time that Corton Primary School has applied for the award, and they have achieved the highest level of gold both times."
With the REQM acknowledging and celebrating outstanding RE teaching in schools, it recognises those who are making a difference to learners.
The school spokesman added: "The REQM assessor worked with the school to see what pupils enjoy about religious education and what could make it even better.
In reviewing the school, the REQM assessor said: "Pupils enjoy RE and see how it helps them become people who understand different points of view and want to make the world a better place."
One of the school's pupils said: "We learn about different religions.
"This is interesting because these beliefs can help us understand the world more."
Another pupil added: "I like the discussions and debates because we can give our opinions and ideas.
"We also talk about things we might not talk about anywhere else."
Mrs Dalley, RE leader, said: "This is a fantastic achievement and I’d like to thank our dedicated staff and enthusiastic pupils.
"As a school we are committed to ensuring the provision of high quality RE by actively engaging pupils in their learning and by challenging them to relate their exploration of religion to local, national and global issues."
