A former pub that dates back to the 1950s looks set to be given a new lease of life.
Time was called as last orders echoed out at The Ship Inn, on Beccles Road, Carlton Colville in Lowestoft in 1957.
Having closed as a public house more than 60 years ago the property is understood to have been used for storage since the late 20th century.
Described as a pub and dwelling of two storeys, it was due to be sold at an auction last week.
With the pub and three bedrooms at 403 Beccles Road, Carlton Colville Lowestoft marketed by Auction House East Anglia, it was postponed before a previous online auction on February 7.
It was set to go under the hammer at Auction House East Anglia's livestream property auction last Wednesday, March 20 with a guide price of £80,000, plus fees, on a freehold tenure.
But ahead of the auction, the auctioneers said 403 Beccles Road Lowestoft had been "sold prior".
Described as having two floors and four rooms, the property description from the auctioneers said: "The Ship was a former public house in a prominent position on the edge of Oulton Broad.
"The building is derelict and is need of complete restoration.
"Access is restricted.
"There is a beer garden to the rear and a new boundary is going to be created by the owners as they will be retaining some of the land.
"This building would create a beautiful home subject to gaining the necessary planning permission."
After the sale, the auctioneers said: "The Ship Inn at 403 Beccles Road, Lowestoft, sold prior to auction for an undisclosed amount."
