A unique educational sailing expedition has been fully sponsored for youth with an interest in STEM subjects.
The Dudgeon Community Fund is underwriting an opportunity for young individuals from north Norfolk, Great Yarmouth, or Breckland to set sail on historic ship Excelsior.
Departing from Szczecin in Poland on August 8, the voyage will wind past offshore windfarms before concluding in Excelsior's home port of Lowestoft around August 22.
While the trip is fully funded, participants are expected to pay for their own travel to Poland.
Eligible participants include those aged 15-25 focusing on STEM education.

This engaging voyage concludes Excelsior's sailing season, which saw participation in the International Tall Ships Race.
Dudgeon sponsors the initiative with the objective of offering young people insight into the offshore and maritime industries.
While onboard, participants will gain pragmatic experience in navigation, meteorology, and sail planning, among other essential maritime duties.
This includes an immersion into all aspects of boat and communal living, including cooking and cleaning.
The journey offers a hands-on approach to expanding and applying the knowledge they've gained from their STEM studies.
