Lowestoft Rail Bowls Club's men's team, unfortunately, went down against local rivals Acle 'B' on Saturday by 85 shots to 74.
This result gave Rail two points and maintains their mid table position.
Ed Alcock's team of Bernie Earles, Ray McCloud and Terry Harvey led the way with a fighting display in their match.
Although they were 11-14 down at the 15th end they finished strongly and took 15 shots from the last 6 ends as they won 26-14.
Next up Ron Castro’s boys John Bullard, Keith Beales and Paul Webber scored steadily in their game and finished worthy winners 25-15 with a healthy six on one end to make matters easier.
Roger Flatt, John Cooper, Pete Garnham and Barry Cooper were at 11-all on the 16th end in their match but conceded the last five ends and went down 12-19.
Finally, Terry Thacker with Mark Muirhead, Alan Lyne and Steve Banyard came against a strong Acle block and were struggling at the 13th end 3-28, with the end score being 11-37 against.
Next match on February 4 is at home to County Arts.
