Lowestoft Rail Bowls Club's ladies team had an exciting home match against Norwich Roundwell and eventually finished up victors on all four blocks.
The overall result of 71 shots to 50 secured eight points and consolidated a favourable position in the league table.
First up Sally Moon with Heather Chennells and Irene Hughes took an emphatic win, scoring steadily throughout although they suffered a surprise five against at the penultimate end but finished the job at 25-11.
Diane Painter, Rowena Slawinski and Val Mardell had an extremely nervous finish to their match as well.
It was 16 shots all with one end to go - however they came good and scored a three for a fine win.
Diane Muirhead, Pauline Anderson and Glenis Harvey were not to be left out of the excitement and figured in another adventurous tussle.
Losing 10-12 with one end to go they came good with a final five and took the points 15-12.
On this nailbiting afternoon Lorraine George, Margaret Beck and Karen Bartram joined in the fun.
They were ahead 12-6 with three ends to go and seemingly coasting to victory – however Roundwood had other ideas & almost snatched it with 5 shots scored but L Rail held on for a 12-11 win.
