A top-of-the-table Suffolk derby will kickstart a busy schedule for Lowestoft Town FC.
With seven matches to be played in the space of 21 days this month, the Trawlerboys - in third place in the Pitching In Isthmian League North division - will travel to league leaders AFC Sudbury this Saturday.
Lowestoft continued their fine run of form, making it six games unbeaten, with a 2-0 home win over New Salamis last Saturday.
Two second half goals from Jake Reed and skipper Travis Cole sealed the win after Adam Hipperson had missed a first half penalty.
Delighted Blues boss Jamie Godbold said: "It was a huge three points and well deserved.
"I thought in the first half we came out of the blocks really well and we were disappointed not to be ahead at the interval.
"For all our possession, the chances we created and the missed penalty it could have been one of those days, so it was great when Reedy got on the end of Hippo's cross to put it away and then Travis scored at the end.
"It was a potential banana skin, as New Salamis had beaten us away, so it was pleasing the boys hit the ground running."
With Josh Harvey missing out last Saturday through an injury he'd picked up in training, he is set to return this weekend - meaning Godbold will have a full squad to select from.
He said: "We know that Sudbury is the toughest game of the season, but we go into the game in really good form.
"It is a game we are looking forward to, and we know with the three games in the next week that three wins puts us in close contention and the aim is to put pressure on them.
"We will concentrate on ourselves as we look to continue our fine run and try and upset their record."
Lowestoft will be in action at the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium on Tuesday, February 7 as they host 14th placed Basildon United at 7.45pm.
Godbold said: "They have made quite a few changes since we played them earlier in the season in the FA Trophy."
