Lowestoft Rail Bowls Club produced another impressive performance against Norwich County Arts as they took five points with a close 68 shots to 64 win.
This win moves them up into third in the table.
Leading the way Roger McGee’s team of Alan Lyne, Steve Banyard and Ray Utting found themselves 6-10 adrift at the halfway stage, but scored 17 shots over the next nine ends to finish comfortable 23-13 winners.
Paul LeGrice, with John Bullard, Gary Small and Paul Webber, triumphed with a tight 21-18 win after the two blocks had been neck and neck until the very end.
Roger Flatt, John Cooper, Pete Garnham and Barry Cooper had a thrilling encounter that saw them ahead 10-7 at the 15th end.
Leading 14-13 with an end to go they got hit with two shots and went down 14-15.
Ed Alcock’s block of Ron Castro, Bernie Earles and Roy Davis failed to score in 13 ends during their match.
Although they lost 10-18 it could have gone either way as they lost nine ends to a single shot.
The next match is on February 25 away to Diss.
