Lowestoft Town will be on their travels once more this Saturday as they begin their eagerly awaited Emirates FA Cup journey.
After the new Pitching In Isthmian League North Division season began with an opening day 1-1 draw at Basildon last Saturday, The Trawlerboys face the tough task of a trip to Northamptonshire for a FA Cup preliminary round tie against Corby Town.
The Steelmen, who play in the Northern Premier League Midlands division and are managed by former King's Lynn boss Gary Setchell, beat Boldmere St Michaels 3-2 away last Saturday but lost 1-0 at Shepshed Dynamo on Tuesday night.
Jamie Godbold's men started the new campaign with three new signings - after former Colchester United youngster Harvey Sayer joined last week.
Godbold hailed the signing of the talented 20-year-old as "a real coup" - with his capture coming ahead of interest from a number of other clubs, as the former Bungay High School student and Norwich academy youngster had trialled elsewhere in pre-season.
Sayer joined fellow new signings midfielder Tom Fitzgerald and versatile defender Dan White on the bench last Saturday.
Diminutive winger Clyde Semazzi gave Basildon an 85th minute lead, before Adam Hipperson hammered the ball into the roof of the net from 10 yards in the 90th minute to seal an opening day draw.
Godbold said: "Saturday was a bit of mixed emotions.
"We were probably favourites to win, but it was one of those days with a difficult, bobbly pitch and a lot of the good work over the pre season deserted us.
"But after falling behind late on, it was good to bounce back with an equaliser and that momentum leads nicely into Saturday's big FA Cup game.
"I am not sure we could have got a tougher draw than we did at this stage, but we know how Setch's teams like to set up and a few of their players, so we have prepared for that this week."
The Trawlerboys have a fully fit squad to select from, with Saturday's game going straight to a replay if drawn.
