Caister girl Chelsie Hurren will be heading to the USA to take up a prestigious football scholarship.
A football star of the futre, the 18-year-old Norwich City Ladies first team player is following her sporting dream and will be jetting across the Atlantic to Colorado next month where she will combine her university studies with playing top flight football with the Lady Rattler's soccer team.
The former East Norfolk Sixth Form student will play for the team for the next four years, giving her the opportunity to study while furthering her football career.
Hurren went through the Norwich Centre of Excellence when she was 14 and played for her country. She went for trials with Pass 4 Soccer in London at the David Beckham Soccer Dome where the scouts travel from all over America talent spotting for players to represent their universities.
The teenager said she chose to study in the US because it had always been a lifetime ambition - and that women's football was taken much more seriously in the US than it is in the UK.
Hurrell added she was looking forward to playing football every single day of the week, meeting new people and making new friends and exploring the States.
The talented teenager also said she and her parents would like to thank Caister High School, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and the Mason Trust for their donations which will go towards her travelling costs.
