A new vendor will soon be serving up pastries, cakes and coffees at a popular street food venue.
Deans Beans, a "much-loved" Lowestoft coffee business is taking over the garden kiosk at East point Pavillion from this weekend (November 12).
The launch coincides with a day-long music festival celebrating Caribbean music from the 1960s to 1990s, which is hosted by Lemon Lounge between 1pm and 8pm.
Deans Beans started in August 2020 initially in a converted horse box before later opening Deans Beans Coffee Hut in Pakefield.
The new kiosk will serve "incredible" coffee alongside pastries, cakes, tray bakes and more.
Dean Johnson, owner of Deans Beans, said: “We are very excited about opening our second Lowestoft outlet at the Pavilion.
"The team here at East Point Pavilion work very hard putting on events and activities for the community, something we are always keen to get involved in.
"We look forward to welcoming our existing and new customers this weekend.”
Deadly Majestic's Reggae Showcase will be a free all-day event featuring special guests Ed Foundation and Shaolin Sounds, who will be spinning a range of vintage Caribbean classics.
Family-friendly activities will also be on offer from 12pm.
Alison Joseph, operations manager at East Point Pavilion added: “We are thrilled that Deans Beans are joining the East Point Pavilion family this winter.
"Dean’s coffee is well known and loved across the area, as is their community-minded approach and friendly team.
"They will be a brilliant addition to the Pavilion, supplying delicious treats to runners and walkers on the go, or visitors looking to catch up and enjoy the sea views from the warmth of the Pavilion.”
The historic seafront pavilion underwent a six-figure revamp after plans were approved in October 2020, transforming it into a food hall and events space.
East Point Pavilion, which is run by the team behind First Light Festival, launched in June this year and has continued to expand what is on offer, with a range of street food vendors, craft beers and more.
