A pizza company is enjoying a slice of success after securing a kitchen residency at a popular pub on the Suffolk coast.

Black Dog Pizza Co. was launched in May last year by Andy Storer, who also runs The Black Dog Deli in Walberswick. Charlotte Gullefer and Michael Anfilogoff.

It was at the East Point Pavilion street food venue in Lowestoft for three months, but since November has been at The Lord Nelson pub in Southwold, owned by Adnams Brewery.

The pizzas use sourdough and are stonebaked, with options ranging from a classic Margherita to the Black Dog with tomato, smoked pancetta, garlic mushrooms, mascarpone, garlic oil and rocket.

Miss Gullifer said: "There had not been food at The Lord Nelson for a long time and when Adnams asked about a residency we jumped at the chance as the pub has such a strong following.

"We have been much more popular than I thought and we get comments that our pizza is the best ever and we sell out regularly."

Black Dog Pizza Co. is there Friday 5pm to 9pm and Saturday 12noon to 9pm.
