A new home care company has been established to help families across Lowestoft and the surrounding areas.

Munish Bhardwaj, 49, has set up Home Instead with the mission of providing the highest standard of care and companionship to elderly people.

Home Instead's Lowestoft office has been launched to help the community as Mr Bhardwaj said that during the pandemic he started to think about what he really wanted to do and caring for others was always at the forefront of his mind.

He said: "I loved working across the world with my career, but circumstances change and my heart has always been in caring.

"Many of us have aging parents and I know how reassuring it is that your loved ones are safe and happy in a comfortable environment when you can’t be there.

"There was no better time for a career change, so my wife Seema and I knew just what we wanted to do, and here we are providing quality care in our local area."

Joining Munish is care manager, Shura Clancy, who has had a career in hospitality, before turning to the care sector in multi-agency care, as well as clinical experience working as a nursing assistant practitioner in the cardiology ward of a local hospital.

She said: "Our care visits are a minimum of an hour and carried out by care professionals who are matched to their clients based on similar interests.

"We currently have 30 care professional vacancies for people who want to begin or further a career in the sector with us."

Home Instead Lowestoft will support older adults through a range of care services, including home help, companionship and personal care such as help with dressing and washing.
