Street food is arriving on the menu at a prominent pub as new branding and renovations form part of a £25,000 revamp.
With new toilets unveiled alongside interior decorations, a new paint job and new drink and food offers, the Flying Dutchman in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft is set to launch a new music quiz this weekend.
It will be hosted by professional musician Andrea Goldsworthy - who has toured the world as Paloma Faith's bass player since 2008.
Having performed on stage during numerous tours and shows with the star singer-songwriter, the Lowestoft musician is returning to her hometown to launch the new music quiz night this Sunday, June 18 at 8pm.
Landlord Chris Moore and landlady Susie said it promises to be "great fun for all music fans".
Although the pub on Beccles Road, Oulton Broad has been covered in scaffolding for the past month, lots of "new changes" are under way.
Mr Moore said: "We are three weeks into the renovations, and there have been a lot of changes going on in a £25,000 facelift.
"We've been here six years now, and we are now looking forward to another six years.
"The renovations have been long needed and we've been wanting to do this quite some time - so it is now right to invest in the place."
Street food - featuring Katsu chicken curry and dirty fries, and The Meatball Marinara with Nacho Cheese - is arriving on the menu alongside many old favourites.
Drink offers include new cocktails on tap, with a popular general knowledge quiz held every Thursday night at 8pm.
Mr Moore said: "We will be putting more live music performances on and we look forward to welcoming more people along to our family friendly pub."
'Love of music'
As a professional musician, Andrea Goldsworthy toured the world for three years with the band Ladytron - which included support slots with Nine Inch Nails and The Chemical Brothers.
Andrea has also performed and recorded for Mark Ronson, Frank Turner, The Orb, Kate Nash and Ray Davies (The Kinks).
Ahead of the launch of the new music quiz night - which will be held each month on a Sunday - Mr Moore added: "We look forward to Andrea's input as she takes over the monthly music quiz this Sunday.
"Being a local girl, Andrea is the ideal person.
"She hosted many online quizzes during lockdown, is a keen quizzer player and of course she is a professional musician and Paloma Faith's bass player - having performed on countless tours and shows with Paloma.
"This included Glastonbury main stage, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Sydney Opera House, Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as most of the major venues around the UK and on numerous TV shows.
"She now brings her love of music to the Flying Dutchman, to test teams on music across the decades and genres."
