A Bavarian-style bash is set to make a welcome return to a seafront pavilion this weekend.
After the success of the inaugural Oktoberfest offerings last year, the East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft will be transformed once more on Saturday and Sunday.
Oompah music and fancy dress all helped to "create the perfect Bavarian atmosphere" as the East Point Pavilion celebrations took centre stage last year.
With entertainment aplenty enjoyed alongside German inspired food in a lively beer hall, organisers - the First Light Festival Community Interest Company, who run the pavilion - were hopeful it would "become an annual event".
And this Saturday and Sunday October 7/8, people are being encouraged to "don your lederhosen, grab your steins and head to the East Point Pavilion" for an "exciting Bavarian bash!"
As Oktoberfest returns, Sir Toby’s Beers has secured authentic beer from all six designated Munich Oktoberfest breweries.
This weekend will see two available on draft served in proper glass two pint steins, and four in limited availability bottles.
The Pavilion’s street food traders will serve up delicious German-inspired dishes including Jerk Chicken Schnitzel, Chilli Bratwurst Dog, Oktoberfest Quesadilla, Apfelkuchle (Bavarian apple fritters), Oktoberfest Toastie (filled with pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese and horseradish sauce) and an Oktoberfest cookie.
An exciting programme of live music will complement the food and drink, with performances from The Philbilly One Man Band, Billy Hunt and Was Ist Das Oompah Band on Saturday, while Cam T, Kitty May and The High Points will entertain on Sunday.
The beers - along with Sir Toby’s usual offering of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks and coffees - will be served from 10am to 9pm, with food from Slice served from 10am to 4pm and TAAJ, Tres Hermanas and Soul Kitchen open from noon onwards.
