A "long established" lock up barbers shop in Lowestoft has been sold at auction.
The vacant hairdresser/barber shop on Hervey Street sold for more than it was expected to fetch at auction.
Marketed by Auction House East Anglia in association with Steel and Co and with a minimum guide price of £20,000 to £30,000 plus fees, it was sold at a property auction on Wednesday, December 13.
The property description from the auctioneers listed the lock up "hairdresser/barber shop" at 39B Hervey Street, Lowestoft as being available on a "Flying Freehold" tenure.
Ahead of the auction, it stated: "Having been in the same ownership for around 30 years, this lock up barber shop is now to be sold vacant and ready for a new occupier.
"The shop consists of a salon with appropriate fittings for hairdressing sale, there is a WC and small courtyard area.
"It is situated in a residential area.
"Alternative uses could be available subject to planning."
A spokesman for Auction House East Anglia said the vacant lock up barber shop "sold for £33,500".
