A garage has been terrorised by a group of kids throwing stones at it.

Crown Street Motors in Lowestoft has become target practice for a group of youths who have thrown stones at the building's original large front windows, which are more than 100-years-old.

On the first occasion, the group was seen throwing stones and smashing its window pains at around 6.30pm on Thursday, May 9.

The gang then returned two days later to the site in Crown Street West - again launching nearby flint stones through their windows shortly before 12.25pm on May 11.

Owner Cleeve Bury has owned and run the business since 1965, he said: "It's usually quiet around here, we've had very little trouble over the years.

"The first time around there were three of them but the next time they grew to six, forming a little gang causing a nuisance.

"They picked up some flint from the car park next door and started lobbing them through the window showing off to each other."

"They've hit the two windows at the front of the shop, it now looks like a gunshot with the glass cracked like a spider's web."

The large windows at the front of the garage damage are estimated to cost £1.500.

Mr Bury added: "I'm too worried about replacing the windows if they're just going to smash them again.

"I've put a sign in the window to try and deter them, but we don't know if they're going to come back or not."

Police have begun investigating the incident reviewing CCTV in the area but have appealed to the public for information.
