A man has been jailed after confessing to a number of offences including killing a pet cat.
Daniel Williams, 30, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to four years and six months in prison at Norwich Crown Court on April 26.
The court heard how in 2022, Williams entered a property in Lowestoft and caused damage before killing a pet cat and leaving another with such serious injuries it had to be euthanised.
He also smashed the windows of a business in the area and sent threatening messages to people including a threat to assault someone with a baseball bat.
At a previous hearing, he pleaded guilty to intentional suffocation, threatening to disclose private sexual images to cause distress, two counts of sending an electric communication containing a threat, two counts of damaging property and two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

As well as the 54-month custodial sentence, Williams was also handed a 10-year disqualification order under Section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act meaning he cannot own, keep or participate in the keeping of animals.
He was also made subject to a 10-year restraining order.
After the court hearing detective constable Matthew Fox, of Suffolk police, said: “Williams’ behaviour during this period was controlling, it was threatening and it was severe; culminating in the brutal attack on two defenceless and innocent animals.
“He failed to control his emotions in the most extreme manner and has caused damage to cars, buildings and businesses, but most of all he has caused untold damage to the lives of a number of people.
“Now he will have time in prison to consider the fear and pain he has put onto other people, in the knowledge that even once released, if he breaches the conditions placed on him, he will face yet further punishment.”
