Six villages have been selected among the best places to live in Suffolk.

Estate agents at Savills have named the villages in the county which are frequently popular among buyers.

Katy Stephenson, associate director in the residential sales team at Savills in Suffolk, highlighted three places which are favoured due to their proximity to good schools and amenities.

She said: "Nayland-with-Wissington is in the heart of the Dedham Vale which is always popular, while Cavendish and Fressingfield are great rural locations.

“As well as being surrounded by wonderful countryside, there is a good choice of high-quality housing stock, several great amenities, some excellent schools and a fast broadband speed, which is often a key consideration for many buyers.”

Alexander McNab, from the residential sales team at Savills in Suffolk, picked Thorpeness, Snape and Dunwich as popular villages on the Suffolk coast.

“All of the villages are very well served, close to the likes of Aldeburgh and Southwold, two of our most popular seaside towns, surrounded by wonderful countryside and near to the coast. There is a wonderful choice of pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, some good local stores and a strong sense of community.”
