I think it’s fair to say that Grease is without a doubt one of the greatest musicals to ever grace the stage.

But with such a well-known, well-loved film version, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous for this show.

I didn’t need to be.

Grease the Musical absolutely raised the roof of Norwich Theatre this week, concluding with a hearty mega mix sing-a-thon and a raucous standing ovation.

The thing that really made this performance a success though was its lively dance numbers and stunning set design – especially jaw-dropping was the car, Greased Lightening!

Lowestoft Journal:

The audience was completely transported to the all-American school of 1959’s Rydell High with the stage so busy it was almost impossible to know where to look.

Sandy, played by Hope Dawe, has been transformed into a young woman who knows her worth and isn’t afraid to say so.

While Danny (Marley Fenton) is a character who is slightly less assured and is someone who is trying to find his place in the world. It made for an interesting dynamic.

The show featured all of the fan-favourite hits including Grease is the Word, Summer Nights, We Go Together and You’re the One That I Want.

But the surprising highlights were some of the lesser-known numbers including Freddy My Love, Mooning and Those Magic Changes.

A superb cast, fantastic set and all-round exceptional show. Grab those final remaining tickets while you can. You won't be disappointed.
