New electric vehicle (EV) charging points are now available at four Tingdene holiday park locations across the area.

The holiday park locations across Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth now feature facilities in its car parks for hybrid or electric vehicles - with further EV charging points to soon be installed at a fifth site.

A Tingdene spokesman said: "You will currently find a total of 22 charging points to charge hybrid or electric vehicles in car parks across Broadlands Park and Marina in Oulton Broad, Caldecott Hall Country Park in Fritton, North Denes Caravan Park in Lowestoft and Waterside Park in Corton.

"In addition, four charging points are to shortly be installed at Waveney River Centre in Burgh St Peter."

Tingdene operations manager, Greg Doggett, said: "Available to everyone, these handy EV charging points have been installed in collaboration with Wattif, the leading charging operator in the Nordics, with operations spanning six countries and a network of 26,000 chargers across Europe."

Wattif users can download the easy-to-use app via the Apple or Google Play store to find their nearest EV charging locations, book a session and find live updates on any charging session.

The recent installation of these charging points at Tingdene’s southern holiday park locations adds to the existing offering already in place at the Tingdene Group head office in Wellingborough, Upton Lake & Marina in Upton-upon-Severn and at Racecourse Marina & Lodges in Windsor.

The company is also proceeding with the roll out of EV charging points in the north, with a further installation shortly planned at South Shore Park in Bridlington.
