A 48-year-old man died on Christmas Eve after suffering heart failure in a drug-related death, an inquest has heard.
An inquest into the death of Tony Archer, of Lowestoft, was held by senior coroner Nigel Parsley at Suffolk Coroners' Court.
It heard Mr Archer died at sheltered housing accommodation in Denmark Road where he was living on Christmas Eve in 2023.
The court was told that he was known to be opioid dependent and had complained of having "flu-like symptoms" in the days before his death.

A post-mortem examination concluded the official cause of death was a result of a "bacterial inflammation of the heart" caused by "bacteria entering injection sites from the taking of illicit drugs".
Mr Archer was born in Tidworth, Wiltshire in October 24, 1975.
