Police chiefs have expressed their concern at a recent spate of attacks on officers.
Several officers have been assaulted in the past 10 days across Suffolk, with two of these attacks in Lowestoft and another in Bungay.
In Lowestoft, one officer was kicked in the chest and punched in the head, while another was bitten by a suspect who had been arrested following a domestic incident.
The man, 24, was charged with assault and bailed until October 30.
The other incident involved a man arrested for assault who kicked one officer in the face, spitting blood in the faces of two other officers.
In Bungay, a male suspect spat at an officer in the James Paget Hospital and has been bailed while the investigation continues.
Chief Superintendent Alice Scott said: “Our officers support and protect people in the community and it is unacceptable that they are then assaulted during the course of their duties."
Tim Passmore, Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner, added: “Any attack on our police officers is utterly deplorable and there is no excuse for this sort of behaviour in any circumstances."
