A fresh bid to create a travellers' site in a seaside village has been withdrawn following a similar earlier pulled application.
Change of use plans were lodged in April for 16 new mobile homes on land west of London Road in Kessingland, Lowestoft.
The bid for eight static caravans and eight touring caravans for "Gypsy/Traveller occupation" on farm land was submitted to East Suffolk Council.
Plans submitted by agents Perfect Pitch Planning Ltd on behalf of the applicant Ms Kayleigh Smith included: "Use of existing access. Associated hard and soft landscaping improvements with biodiversity enhancements" for the agricultural site area.
But after sparking more than 100 objections and five responses in support of the application, plans were withdrawn in July "following requests for additional information particularly regarding highways matters," according to the agents.
It led to a second bid being lodged with East Suffolk in September with changes "made to the proposed layout to overcome previous concerns".
A planning statement said: "Planning permission is sought for the stationing of eight static caravans and eight touring caravans alongside hard and soft landscaping and an access from London Road."
The change of use bid of the land for the siting of the 16 static and touring caravans in total for "Gypsy/Traveller occupation," was earmarked for a site that measures around 1.72 acres (0.7ha).
With the plans including new hedgerows being planted, an amended design and layout and the entrance gate being "pushed back to 12.5m" among other changes, it added: "Based on the lack of sites coming forward within the last five to six years we consider that there remains to be an unmet gypsy and traveller need".
"We consider that the site is acceptable on its own merits and due to the current shortfall can be used as a ‘generic’ Gypsy and Traveller site."
However, it prompted more than 40 objections - citing concerns over access/traffic, parking and road safety on the "very busy" London Road, along with flood risks and there already being a Traveller site "within 200 metres of this proposed development."
Kessingland Parish Council lodged "a holding objection" amid traffic concerns and "insufficient information regarding drainage on the site".
With the application status listed as "withdrawn," a decision letter was issued by East Suffolk Council to Perfect Pitch Planning Ltd on November 29 stating the "application has been withdrawn."
